In 1975 the Guilderland Garden Club and Guilderland Historical Society began decorating the Mynderse-Frederick House on Route 146 in Guilderland Center for a holiday greens show and open house.  Planning for what has become an annual free community event begins in late summer.  The decorations, wreaths and most of the refreshments are made by Club members and each year the show has a different theme.   We thank everyone who has attended over the years!

Carol Samsonoff, pictured above right, created this replica of the original wedding dress worn by Apolonia Frederick.  Carol sewed the entire dress by hand, without a pattern, using very delicate silk and lace.  The dress is modeled by Donna Crego.  Donna had worn the original dress at the show for many years, but it had greatly deteriorated and could no longer be worn.
We were very pleased to see so many of you at the 2018 Greens Show, Winter Wonderland.  Thank you for purchasing our wreaths and ornaments and for your donations.  A portion of the proceeds were used to benefit Penny Pines and help fund a program on Lyme and other tick-borne diseases held on May 4 at Farnsworth Middle School.  Below are some photos from the 2018 Greens Show.
